SPIN P2P (Person to Person) Payments

Jones Bank’s SPIN P2P (Person to Person) Payments is a fast, safe and easy way to send money to your friends and family from the Jones Bank mobile app or online banking!

  • SPIN is fast. Payments are sent from your bank account to theirs and are usually received within minutes.
  • SPIN is easy. All you need is the cell phone number or email address of the person you are paying.
  • SPIN is safe. All payments are sent securely from Jones Bank’s Digital Banking.
  • SPIN is FREE.

How to use SPIN P2P:

  1. Log in to the Mobile Banking App or Online Banking portal. Click on the Move Money section, then “Start a New Transaction.”
  2. Select P2P from “Show me accounts eligible for:” Select the account you want to initiate the P2P payment out of.
  3. Select a recipient to send money to. If you’ve sent a SPIN P2P payment before, you can select that recipient again. If this is your first time sending a P2P payment to an individual, click on “+Add New Payee” and follow the prompts to add the new payee.
  4. Fill out the required information. You can also add a note, but it is not required.
  5. Review your transaction to ensure everything is correct. Once reviewed, click “Submit.”
SPIN P2P FAQ
  • Is SPIN P2P safe?
    • All card information through our P2P service is fully encrypted to ensure complete security and compliance. You as the sender never see the recipient’s card details, but it is saved for the convenience of future payments. To send money, users need to be logged in to their digital banking login. This requires you to authenticate with security features in addition to your username and password. You can also choose to enable Touch or Face ID.
  • Does it matter what type of card my recipient has?
    • Only individual Visa and MasterCard debit cards are accepted. Users will receive an error message when attempting to receive funds onto a prepaid card, credit card or business debit card.
  • Will my payee receive the funds immediately?
    • Once the recipient chooses their receiving method, funds will be sent from your Jones Bank account to the receiving bank immediately, but availability is dependent on the recipient’s bank’s policy. Encourage your recipient to ask their bank when funds will be available on a deposit through their debit card.
  • Can I make a change to or cancel the P2P I scheduled?
    • No, P2P transactions are immediate and cannot be edited, cancelled or returned. Please make sure to send money only to other people you trust.
  • Can I set up recurring P2P transfers?
    •  No, recurring transfers with P2P are not available. You will need to issue each payment separately.
  • Is there a charge to use Jones Bank’s SPIN P2P?
    • No, this is a FREE service.
  • Why won’t the link work for my recipient?
    • The link expires after 3 days and only works once, so the recipient needs to fully complete the form and submit the first time. If they let the link expire, you will need to resend.
  • The person I am sending money to has a new debit card since the last time I sent them funds. What do I do?
    • When selecting a contact with an expired debit card, you will receive a message stating their card is expired. You can send a new link or delete the recipient and recreate them. Recreating contacts will also send a new link for the recipient to enter their card number.

Organize your account statements digitally with eStatements. You’ll conveniently and securely receive your Jones Bank checking and savings account statements via email.

How to Enroll in eStatements:

  • Log into Online Banking.
  • Select the account(s) you would like to set up eStatements.
  • Once you’re in the account, at the bottom right corner under Account Services, select Statements.
  •  There will be a popup with the Terms and Conditions.
    • Scroll through the Terms and Conditions.
    • Select View Test Document.
    • Download the Validation file to verify you can view a PDF.
    • Check the Select All box. This will change the Statements & Notice Enrollments from None to Statements & Notices
    • Select Accept Terms to complete the enrollment.
Bill Pay

Jones Bank offers Bill Pay to customers! You can pay utilities, businesses, individuals and more without writing a check.  You can avoid trips to the post office or mailbox and save money on stamps, envelopes and checks!
